We are delighted to announce a very special opportunity that connects our creative community:
A very SPECIAL Open Studio Scholarship Drive
Wednesday, September 24th — Saturday, September 27th
Over the past year, we have seen an increasing number of students needing financial assistance. In response, we thought it meaningful to create a way for our community to both enjoy access to George’s creative process and help other students at the same time.
Here’s how it will work:
- Between Wednesday, September 24 – Saturday, September 27, Dr. Kordis will host several Open Studios. Dates this week:
- WEDNESDAY, September 24 ~ Subject: The Embracement of Mary and Elizabeth
8 to 10pm ATHENS time (1 to 3pm EST for US & Canada)
- THURSDAY, September 25
5 to 7pm ATHENS time (10 to 12 noon EST for US & Canada)
- FRIDAY, September 26
8 to 10pm ATHENS time (1 to 3pm EST for US & Canada)
- SATURDAY, September 27
8 to 10pm ATHENS time (1 to 3pm EST for US & Canada)
- Students may attend one or more sessions live or by recording.
- Instead of a set fee, participants are invited to make a donation of their choice (we put it at 10E per class, but you are welcome to change it as you wish — up or down!)
- 100% of all donations will go directly into the Scholarship Fund to support fellow students in need.
- Donations may be made either in advance or anytime during the campaign or even afterwards.
The DONATION information, Open Studio dates, the recordings and payment link will be all in one place for you.

You will then be notified with the direct information at various increments of the day depending on when you register for the event.
This all being said, we warmly invite you to participate in this fundraiser and hope you will consider joining us.
For those wondering about scholarships, we currently do not have a formal process in place, but this is one step closer to that. We hope to share more with this evolution in the days to come. There are already select students who we are hoping to assist with this campaign.
Your participation will not only give you special insight into George’s ongoing work, but also extend tangible support to fellow students in our shared journey of learning.
Thank you!
