Another beautiful Summer School with George Kordis was held this past year. 

With three days in Athens and a week on the island of Crete, our cup overflows with good teaching and good memories. Students attended from Lebanon, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, Greece, Italy, Spain, North Macedonia, Latvia, New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands, Denmark, Slovakia, Ukraine, Mexico, Cuba and the United States. 

Each year brings together a special group of people to learn, grow and celebrate life together through iconography and the Byzantine system in close mentorship with George Kordis.

This year we had the privilege of having unique video footage taken of the experience, with many thanks to Alexandros Papachristopoulos for this 3-minute video clip below that gives a window to the experience….

Writing the Light Summer School 2023 

We now look forward to Summer of 2024, when our full 10 days will now be exclusively held at the Orthodox Academy of Crete in Kolympari (outside of Chania in Northern Crete).
